Travel information
Your flight
All flights, (other than those from Asia and Australasia which will have connections via Seoul and Vladivostok) will land in Moscow. From Moscow your destination is Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski, a direct flight taking 8.5 hours.
All our dates correspond with the Aeroflot timetable. For a better flight connection it is also worth looking at the Trasaero flight timetable. Depending on your arrival time into Moscow you may have the choice to continue your onward journey, or have a stop over in Moscow.
Visa
You will not be allowed to enter Russia without a current visa. You can apply for a visa by contacting your nearest Russian Consulate. In order to apply for a visa you will need proof of your forthcoming visit to Russia, this will be supplied by Vertikalny Mir on receipt of your final payment. Please allow a minimum of 4 weeks for the return of your visa. A list of all the Russian Consulates and Missions worldwide can be found at: www.russianembassy.net
Moscow transit
There are two major airports in Moscow. Depending on your flight plan, you might need to change the terminals, which can be a time consuming. If you do need to change terminals we strongly recommend you allow at least 2 hours for your airport-to-airport transfers.
Transfer
For our scheduled arrival and departure dates, transfers are included in both our “Classic” and “Unlimited” packages. All you need to do is advise us of your arrival and departure flight details, so we can arrange the transfer for you. If you arrive outside of the scheduled dates, you will be invoiced for an individual transfer.
